Inviting Palkar's from Kapailachary a Gotra of CKP community to establish contacts for building family tree. We were more in Madhya Pradesh around Dhar - Indore districts. Badhil Sourashtra (Palkar) community originally migrated from Gujarat/Kutch region to Tamilnadu via Andhra Pradesh. I am not aware of any connection with Madhya Pradesh, but I could be wrong. Also, the word "palkar" was coined later as a short form of "Pattunool Karar" in Tamil which means silk thread merchants. Most of the community was someway involved with silk threads, dyeing and weaving. So the word "palkar" is just a coincidence. Webmaster |
